The All Hazards Training Center at the University of Findlay offers dynamic training for individuals and teams responsible for maintaining a safe learning environment for our school children. The need for this training is clear:
". . . every day, at least 35,000 students bring guns into schools, 160,000 students skip school to avoid physical abuse, 6,250 teachers are threatened with bodily harm, while 260 educators are victimized by their students."
School administrators must be prepared to address the entire range of school security issues from threats to bullying/ fighting, from weapons/contraband to kidnapping and assault. The All Hazards Training Center can assist you in generating safety awareness while enhancing your ability to plan for, prevent, respond to and recover from threats or acts of violence.
University of Findlay specialists will meet with you to customize a program that
meets your school's specific safety and security needs. We take an "All Hazards" approach, which means we not only focus on school violence issues, but also on
day-to-day safety and security issues, including accidents and natural disasters.
The All Hazards Training Center also offers consulting services designed to make both
K-12 school systems and college/university campuses safer places for students to attend and learn. The services provided range from building-by-building safety and security assessments to campus wide vulnerability assessments. We can help you implement Threat Assessment Management Programs, develop " table-top" plans and even conduct full-scale exercises and simulations. Learn More . . .
